Hello,

We have a DS80PCI402 PCIe repeater design that requires an EEPROM setup and need SigCon Architect. I successfully installed SigCon Architecture 3.0 and need to add support for the DS80PCI402 chip. In the forum, I read about a profile updater. I also read that maybe I need to update support for the DS80PCI800 chip (which may be good enough to support the DS80PCI402 chip). Please let me know how to proceed.

Hi Glenn,

The DS80PCI402 PCIe repeater can be supported by the DS80PCI800 SigCon Architect GUI Updater. Please find this updater in the SigCon Architect Repeater Profiles download link. Note that the DS80PCI800 GUI profile is supported by SigCon Architect v2.0.0.8, so please install this version of the GUI to use the DS80PCI800 profile.

Thanks for the quick response.

I tried installing SigCon Architect v2.0.0.8 and LabView, but I cannot get that to work. I installed v3.0 from SIGCONARCHITECT3-WRTE (with LabView install built in). Is there something like that for v2.0.0.8? If not, is there a procedure for how to install LabView and v2.0.0.8?

Thanks for the additional insight. Yes, there is a SIGCONARCHITECT-WRTE (for v2.0.0.8) on the SigCon Architect webpage as well. I've included the link here: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/SIGCONARCHITECT-WRTE

The message above occurs when I installed V2.0.0.8 w/ RTE. After that, I tried uninstalling all versions of Sigcon and then tried to install v2.0.0.8 w/ RTE, but I still get the same message (and the application does not come up). I'm not sure how to integrate a full development version of LabView with Sigcon (I couldn't get that to work with v2.0.0.8 without RTE). Any suggestions or steps to follow on this? Thanks

Do you receive this error at the time of installation of the SigCon Architect v2.0.0.8 w/RTE, or when attempting to install the DS80PCI800 Updater?

To be more clear, SigCon Architect v2.0.0.8 w/RTE installation completes (and asks to restart). After restarting, I get the error message when trying to run SigCon Architect.

Also, I just tried uninstalling Labview completely and installing a full development version of Labview. Then I tried installing SigCon Architect v2.0.0.8 w/RTE and I get the same error message as before when trying to run Sigcon.

Wondering if I need to install an old version of LabView? If so, would you know what version? Or maybe which components of Labview (some add-ons require special licences from NI)? Or any other suggestions? Thanks

Hi Glenn,

Were you able to attempt the SigCon v2.0.0.8 installation after completely uninstalling LabView? This would be my thought based on the current error message, as the installer WRTE should include the correct LabView dependencies.

No, as I mentioned, still no luck (see same error message).

Here's what I wanted TI to consider:

Do I need to install an old version of LabView; maybe latest version is not compatible in some way? If so, would you know what version? Or maybe which components of Labview (some add-ons require special licences from NI)? Or any other suggestions? Thanks

From this comment, I had understood that you had attempted to install SigCon Architect v2.0.0.8 again after re-installing LabView.

The SigCon Architect v2.0.0.8 is based off of LabView RTE 2012. While I have not seen your specific error occur before, I might advise trying to install the LabView RTE 2012, 32-bit version for your OS and then re-attempt the installation of SigCon Architect as administrator.
