DP83826E: Differences between DP83826E and DP83822I to replace BROADCOM_BCM5241A1IMLG

Part Number: DP83826E
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DP83822I

Hi Team,

I do have similar questions and need experts comment.

Customer is surveying a solution to replace BROADCOM_BCM5241A1IMLG.

I search some E2E and these thread told me if no need to support fiber, then DP83826ERHBR  ; if need to support fiber net, then DP83822I.

But I can't understand why? What is the mean different between these two parts? Why DP83826E price is higher even it can support fiber case ?

I'm a white guys about the ethernet PHY, can you help to check our parts does can replace BCM5241A?

BR,

Kai

  • Hi Kai,

Your understanding is correct, the main difference between the DP83826 and the DP83822 is that the 826 does NOT support fiber. Both of these parts would be a good solution to replace the BCM5241A.

I cannot comment on pricing, as this is a technical forum. Please reach out to your Marketing contact.

    Regards,

    Alvaro
