Hey Team,
One of our customer's requirements is that the CAN driver must be able to withstand a short circuit to ground (CANH or CANL to ground) and a short circuit line to line (CANH to CANL) both for indefinite amounts of time.
I would think the line to ground short is fine but I am unsure about the transceiver's state with a line to line short. I see in the datasheet there is thermal protection.
Once this line to line short is removed will the transceiver continue normal operation?
