Hey Ihor,
Can you share a high level block diagram for you implementation? From my understanding a LVDS panel has a spec that must be followed, so as long as you match the spec that end should be ok. The TS3DV642 typically needs the input signals to be properly DC biased:
Additionally please have a look at section 8.1 - 8.4 of the datasheet.
Hello, Vishesh. I have two BU90T82-ZE2 LVDS transmitters and one LCD panel with LVDS input. I need to swith LCD panel between these two transmitters. LCD panel requires Vcom: 1.2V; Vdif: 200-600mV. Transmitter has Vcom: 1.25V; Vdif: 250-450mV. I guess, if transmitters are designed to drive LCD panel and TS3DV642 is based on the mosfets, than this chain should work just fine? Also, I need five differential pairs for LCD panel, but TS3DV642 has only four inputs. Can I use I2C pair to feed one of the LVDS dif. pair? (This is my first project in this field, so i need to learn many things).
Hey Ihor,
In my opinion I think you should use a better matched up transmitter and panel. The Vcom is close with 1.2V and 1.25V, but the differential swings are 400mV vpp and 200 mV vpp. This will add an additional mismatch that you need to address. Using the I2C lanes as a data lane should be fine. so the TS3DV642 can work for your needs, but as I mentioned please have a look at a different set of drivers/ LCD panel.
Actually, this transmitter has typical midpoint Vdif: 350mV and panel has typical Vdif: 400mV with range of 200-600mV. I assume, it will work just fine. Thank you for your kind support. Have a nice day.
