Part Number: TCAN1145-Q1
Hi team,
To initialize the transceiver chip, what registers need to be set? Do I need to distinguish the order in which these registers are set?
Look forward to your reply,
Thanks.
Regards,
Amber

Hi Amber,
In order to initialize for CAN communication, only the mode control register (address = 10h) needs to be written to in order to place the device into normal mode. From this state, the transceiver will be able to drive and receive CAN communication from the CAN bus to the TXD and RXD pins.
A summary of how the configure device for partial networking is included in datasheet section 10.4.5.2. This includes what registers need to be written to and any order requirements.
Let me know if this is sufficient for your needs and if you have any more questions.
Regards,
Eric Schott
