DS90UB949-Q1: the setting of two display

Hi team,

My customer has a question that we can use 949 to display 2 same picture. if we would like to display 2 different picture. how do we set 949? do you have detailed explanation of this feature?

    Hi Jimmy,

    The UB949 does not have the capability to do super frame or video splitting to two different deserializers. The UB949 only has the ability to operate in replicate mode to display the same picture on two different deserializers.

    The UB941AS can send two different video streams to different deserializers.

    I'm curious that We suppose the 941 is connected to two 948 outputs to A and B two display. If I would like to use I2C to find A display's address,

    1. How can we know the address from 941 to 948 of A display? is it depend on 941? 

    2. As I know that 948 can set the same address with different alias of 941. Is there a way to configure the i2c alias for the 941 to allow the SOC to access Display A and Display B at the same time?

    Are you no longer using the 949?

    The address of the deserializer can be checked in register 0x6 (DES_ID_DES_ID_1). The port select register can be used to check the deserializer address on port 0 or port 1.

    Display A and Display B can be setup with the same alias to have commands sent on both ports.
