TPD4E05U06: Treament of NC pin

Dear Specislists,

My customer is considering TPD4E05U06 for 10/100 Ethernet protection.

They have a question.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

According to the datasheet of P.4 Table 5-2, Pins 6, 7, 9, and 10 are NC pins and should be connected to left open or GND.
On the other hand, the circuit diagram of "DP83822 EVM", it is connected to RXD and TXD.

Which connection is correct?

I am thinking as stated in the data sheet, pins 6, 7, 9, and 10 are unconnected (NC) or GND , and IO is 1, 2, 4 and 5 pin,

Is there any problem with a circuit that connects to pin 5 and pins 3 and 8 to  open or GND?

    It appears like this EVM is showcasing the "straight-through routing" capabilities of this package. Please see the excerpt from the datasheet below:

    The "NC" pins can be left floating, grounded, or can be routed on the same line as the corresponding adjacent pin. This means that the data line D1+ is connected to can also be routed through pin 10, D1- will match pin 9, etc. If you look closely at the names on the schematic, pin 1 and pin 10 share the same name, as well as pin 2 and pin 9, and so on. This means the schematic shown is connected correctly, and there should be no issues here.
