Hi team,

For TCAN1144-Q1 SCK, is there any duty requirement?

Or there is no requirement, should only fulfill following requirement?

tSPI>250ns、tSCKH >125ns、Tsckl>125ns(normal,standby)

tSPI>100us、tSCKH >500ns、Tsckl>500ns(sleep)

Hi Youhei,

There is no duty cycle requirement for this device. As long as the SCK high and low times are met and the maximum data rate is respected, any duty cycle can be used for SPI.

Hi Eric,

Thank you. Let me confirm one point.

My customer make SPI CLK from GPIO by software, so it is not 50% duty.

Even these situation, as long as long as the SCK high and low times are met and the maximum data rate is respected, there are no duty cycle requirement for SCK. Is it correct?

Hi Youhei,

Correct. Using a GPIO clock in this way is no concern for duty cycle as long as the datasheet timing parameters are met.
