As I work in the industrial applications hardware development for automation.
A big point of interest is to ensure that devices I design (lighting controllers as part of inspection and automation systems) do not cause a slow down on the ethernet lines they may be connected to, while the data bandwidth needed for our controllers is negligible (we can happily work with 100/10Tb ethernet) but the system is to be connected to a larger system which may include cameras and other parts which may require suitably fast connection (1000Tb is sort of the goal) so I wanted to know as to the possible direction or parts that may allow for compatibility with gigabit networks (without slowing them down).
Advice to where to look for such parts (or possibly a micro with built in phy chip may also be on cards) would be greatly appreciated.
