BQ24392: USB Power port: connection to PC with charging port function (CDP)

HI:

  1st there is no pullup on DP for port with CDP.

   form my understanding, 2nd port can support CDP charging and BQ24392 is together with your USB device connected to another port on the same PC , Am I right?

Hi

Portable device without batteries. Consumption is slightly more than 5V@1.5A
The first USB for powering the device and exchanging data.
The second USB is only for additional power and it can be either a second USB of the computer or just a charger. We only have a problem when connecting to a computer port that can output 1.5A, but when we connect our second port it is recognized as only being able to output 0.5A.

For 0.5A:

CHG_DET = 0, SW_OPEN=0, CHG_ALL_N=0, GOOD_BAT=1

For 1.5A: (with R=1.5k for DP)

CHG_DET = 1, SW_OPEN=0, CHG_ALL_N=0, GOOD_BAT=1

   Can you  set GOOD_BAT=0  in CDP mode (1.5k on DP) ,? so switch will be off and there is no USB data enumeration.

CHG_DET = 0, SW_OPEN=1, CHG_ALL_N=0

There is an idea to connect to BQ24392 DP/DM Host
a simple chip - USB Hub, HID, USB Cable redriver... in this case, the CDP mode will be correct and Windows will not issue warnings.

Maybe  it will work, did you try it?
