DP83TD510E-EVM: Confused with the Media-Converter

If I use two EVMs, they are connected by SPE connector. The RJ45 connectors of them connect to the computer. Is it possible to connect like this for verification?

Yes this is possible. I have tested with this configuration, with ping and iperf throughput testing verified between back-to-back Windows machines.

We have done this test, but it didn't get link in the RJ45 side. 

Are there any phy registers that must be configured?

Can you provide the detailed configure steps with the test configuration?

Hi Steve,

PHY registers do not need to be configured, but there are some EVM reworks that need to be performed.

For strap settings, please remove the jumper on LED_0, and ensure both boards have the same LED_2 strap setting.

How are you powering the board, and what is the link status for both DP83TD510 and DP83822?

My tests with the same media conversion setup powers the boards over USB - are you able to replicate and test with this board configuration?
