DS90UB936-Q1: DS90UB936 crystal driving level

Part Number: DS90UB936-Q1

Hi Team,

We have one suspected system that crystal can't output 26MHz to 936. We want to check if there is any spec for 936 driving level.

The crystal spec driving level requirement is 0.01uW.

Regards,

Roy

  • Roy,

We will need to check on this and get back to you shortly. The team is currently out of office due to the US public holiday and will resume operations on 2/20

    Best Regards,

    Casey

  • Hi Roy,

Do you have the part number for the oscillator and the circuit implementation?

    Best,

    Zoe

  • Hi Zoe,

    Please see below.

As I know our 936 need to output XO to let crystal generate the corresponding CLK into 936 XI pin. But for this suspected 936, there is no signal from 936 to let crystal work.

We also removed the crystal to measure the Xo pin waveform between ok's 936 and suspected 936.

    ok's 936 XO = 0.9V

    suspected 936 XO = 2V

    Roy

  • Hi Roy,

In the initial post it was stated "The crystal spec driving level requirement is 0.01uW." and the frequency was 26MHz however, the pictured specification has a maximum drive level of 300uW for a 24MHz oscillator. Is this the same part experiencing the issues?

When using a crystal oscillator we support using a 25MHz crystal oscillator.

The clock source must also meet the voltage and current specifications listed below at the pin.

    Best,

    Zoe
