Hi team,
Customer would like to know what is the maximum PCB trace length for pre-channel and post-channel that TDP2004 can support? Thank you.
Best regards,
Randy

Hello, Randy,
Since there are many sources of signal degradation in an application, there are many factors that go into determining the maximum PCB trace length for the pre- and post- channels.
However, in the 7.2.1.3 Application Curves section of the datasheet you can see the losses that are assumed outside of a PCB test board that provide a passing compliance test result. If you would like I can also provide you the EVM board file in a private message so that you can see the trace lengths and geometries on the TDP2004 EVM for a reference to PCB trace length. However, the trace lengths of the PCB could vary if you have long cable runs external to the board.
Thanks,
Zach

You can also use RX & TX trace length budgeting spreadsheet to calculate the max pre and post-channel. I believe this is the same question that Hardy asked couple days ago and I shared this with him.
Thanks
