Hi team,
Customer is considering to use VBUS (for preferred port) as S.
Is there any problem?
Especially concerned about the voltage rating and signal rise/fall time.
Best regards,,

Hi Goto-san,
I believe this should be a fine application, yes. The absolute max for the control pins is 7V, and we have no defined max in the recommended operating conditions, so I see no issue there. Using VBUS to control the S pin should not affect the signal rise/fall time going through the mux. Is the device being powered by pulling VBUS down to 3.3V, or is it being powered by an external 3.3V?
Thanks,
Ryan
