TPD3S713-Q1: VBUS turn on waveform from client mode

Hi team,

When I changed the device operating mode from Client to normal mode by

setting INT1 pin Low --> High (ILIM SEL=Low), then VBUS switch turn on non monotonic.

VBUS ramp up slowly till 1V in 5ms and then ramp up to 5V in 1ms to 2ms.

5V is already applied to IN pin and EN pin, then change INT 1 level from Low to High.

VBUS pin is initial Low.

Could you please explain why VBUS ramp up straight to 5V?

Hi Shinji,

I'm not certain of what is occurring. What is your load capacitance + any additional load? What is your ILIM_LO resistor set to?

Hi Eric-san,

The output cap is 0.22uF and 10uF and 2.2kohm(Pull down).

ILIM_LO = 6.8kohm.

Could you please take a scope shot in this condition?

VIN=EN=5V, change INT1 from Low to High.

Hi Shinji,

I tested this on an EVM based on the components you mentioned, but am unable to see the same behavior in the VOUT signal. Have you seen this issue occur on more than one sample?

I found wrong connection on my board. After I fixed it, the board behaves as expected.
