TPD2S017 vs. Semtech

I'm trying to compare the TPD2S017 datasheet against a Semtech RClamp0502A datasheet to determine differences between the two.

The TI part is a fourth of the price but I'm trying to justify the decision to go with the TI part beyond price.

The primary concern appears to be clamp voltage yet the datasheets spec this differently. Any other competitive advantage to the TI part?

Seems to me the TPD2S017 offers a competitive advantage in low parasitic capacitance and higher bandwidth.

Hello Everyone,

Can anyone provide details on the pcb lay-out or how to mount TPD2S017? Are there any special lay-out guidelines for this?

TPD2S017's data sheet mentioned placing it on top of the signal trace (D+/D-).

Is is correct that their should be a continuos trace path from Channel1-in to channel1-out? (and same as channel2)
