Disable PIPE3 interface on TUSB1310

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB1310, TUSB1310A

Anyone know if there is a way to disable the PIPE3 interface on the TUSB1310 and just use the ULPI interface for USB 2.0?  We want to interface it to an FPGA and just use USB 2.0 IP core (ULPI) for now and then do a software upgrade later to USB 3.0 without having to upgrade the transceiver.

  • Hello Richard,

The TUSB1310A has two different communication channels for SuperSpeed and HS/FS. The PIPE interface is used exclusively for SuperSpeed (USB 3.0).

If you want to use only the ULPI interface, you just send data to the ULPI signals. You can also use the POWER_DOWN pins to force a low power state of the PIPE interface.

    Regards.
