SN75DP130: SN75DP130 Input requirement and link training mechanism

Part Number: SN75DP130

Hi TI,

The architecture of our project eDP re-driver design is "DP only Configuration with AUX Pass Through"
The problem currently encountered is that some machines will have intermittent images when the temperature is 80 degrees.

Under Windows, we use the DP tool to capture the status of the DP Link as follows:

In this situation, we have conducted an eye diagram measurement on the Main link input of the Re-driver and the result is Fail.
In addition, the output end of the Re-driver, if there is no intermittent condition at room temperature, the eye diagram measurement is Pass.

Could you please tell me how the SN75DP130 link training mechanism works?
What are the input signal requirements of SN75DP130? Why does the CPU output the lowest VSwing after link training?

Thanks

Ben Tseng

  • Hello, Ben,

It appears that I received another communication about the exact same problem.

I will respond to that thread and close this one out so that there is only one thread.

Please accept my friendship so that I can send you a private message to confirm to which project this relates.

    Thanks,
