PCA9306: PCA9306DCUR Die Size

Hi all, my customer noticed a slightly different die size among two same components with similar date code and country of origin. It appears that the DC 2227 (right side in the picture) has a smaller/shrink die size.

Thus, the question is that if the die size has been improved and how will that impact the reliability/functionality of this particular component? And if both components were mounted in the same circuit, will there be any incompatibility issues?

See PCN# 20211019000.1. Changes were marked in revision N of the datasheet, but should have no practical effects.

Hey Miranda,

Yes- the die size has been improved, though the specs should still be similar in terms of electrical ch. You may see the PCN number attached in Clemens' response for further details.

Hi Clemens, thank you for the info and I did find it from website: https://www.mouser.com/PCN/Texas_Instruments_PCN20211019000_20211021203630234.pdf. I just dont know that is equal to a shrink die from the PCn.

Hi Jack, appreciate your response. I did find the PCN and just want to make sure if customer mounts both die revision on the boards and there is no issues with that.
