TMUXHS4412: U2/U3 mux

Hi,

We have 2 port type-C application as below, If we have U2/U3 mux demand as below.

Could I using one TMUXHS4412 to replace HD3SS3213 and HD3SS6126?

    Hi Jeff:

        Since TUSB804x hub only supports 5Gbps,  HD3SS3212 and HD3SS6126 should have enough bandwidth to support 5Gbps. TMUXHS4412  will not make difference for USB3   5Gbps performance  as other two Muxes.

    Hi Brian,

    Sorry, we need support USB3 gen2 10G, TUSB804x should can support this data rate so we still find other solution.

    If in USB3 gen2 10G application, TMUXHS4412 also can fulfill this block to replace HD3SS3212 and HD3SS6126, right?

    Hi Jeff:

       TMUXHS4212 and TMUXHS4412 have higher bandwidth than HD3SS3212 and HD3SS6126 and should have better performance  for 10Gbps application.

    One more question, did customer use HD3SS6126 to switch USB2 signal as well?

    Yes, we need HD3SS6126 to switch USB2 signal.

    Seems TMUXHS4412 have no USB2 swtich, right?

    Jeff:

        TMUXHS4412  have no USB2 switch, so you still need HD3SS6126, it can support 10Gbps too.
