TCAN1145-Q1: AECQ-006 qualification of CAN transceiver?? TCAN1145DMTRQ1

Part Number: TCAN1145-Q1

For TCAN1145DMTRQ1, we need to understand if this part, which has Cu bond wires, is AECQ-006 qualified. The Qualification report that I downloaded seems to indicate that it is not qualified to the AECQ-006 standard, but I need official confirmation of this. If it is not qualified to this standard, I need to know the rationale for it.

It is indeed qualified to AEC-Q006, Can you let me know which report you have and why it looks like the device is not qualified to the AEC-Q006 standard?

Hello Eric,

I am looking through the PPAP documentation. I looked at both what TI submitted to my company, and also what I downloaded directly from the TI site. There is no mention of AECQ-006, and the information only contains AECQ-100 info.

Since this is an Automotive qualified device that uses copper bondwires, the AEC-Q006 requirement is met. The qualification summary information you have shown is the extended reliability testing proving the device is qualified to the Automotive Q100 standard.

Hi Lieve,

From my understanding, the AEC-Q006 qualification is an adendum to the AEC-Q100 specification that has the additional requirement for copper bond wires. The report you appear to have shows compliance with the AEC-Q100 qualification requirements and we can confirm that this device uses copper bond wires.

Does the document you have include a section that shows information on the wire bond properties? Would this be sufficient to act as a report for the customer to show AEC-Q006 compliance?
