Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCAN3413
Looking at the TCAN341x datasheet - since marked PRODUCTION DATA assuming it's pretty final.
All of the timing tables have this statement:
parameters valid over recommended operating conditions with -40℃ ≤ TJ ≤ 150℃ (Typical values are at VCC = 3.3 V, VIO = 3.3 V for TCAN3413, Device ambient maintained at 27℃) unless otherwise noted
I assume this means that if operated with VIO=1.8V then the min,max values still apply but the TYP value may be shifted.
But since 1.8V isn't mentioned (it's only implied by the statement 'over recommended operating conditions') I thought it's best to make sure that this is the intent.
We have an EVM being designed that has level shifters between our SOC with 1.8V IO and the TCAN3413 .. which seems unnecessary if we can simply set VIO = 1.8V.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Anthony
