TS3DV642-Q1: TS3DV642-Q1

Part Number: TS3DV642-Q1

Hi Team,

Good day,

We are using TS3DV642-Q1 in our design to connect with Display port

We have following queries to be addressed by TI expert team.

  1. CEC pin can be left open or else recommended to use any Pullup/Pulldown
  2. HPD pin pulled down as per the datasheet recommendation
  3. Do we really needed AC coupling capacitors in series for all the differential pairs...If yes ,can you please confirm this (for Tx of Mux we have to place caps close  to Mux side and for Rx side . caps should be placed to Serializer side/Debug port)
  4. Do we need Pull up in AUXP and pull down in AUXN Pins

We are using TS3DV642-Q1 in our design.

  • CEC pin can be left open or else recommended to use any Pullup/Pulldown

This a HDMI supported feature which will not do anything in DisplayPort. If you are planning to use DP++ this can be utilized, so id say leave it floating for now.

HPD pin pulled down as per the datasheet recommendation

This is needed for HDMI not DP:

Do we really needed AC coupling capacitors in series for all the differential pairs...If yes ,can you please confirm this (for Tx of Mux we have to place caps close  to Mux side and for Rx side . caps should be placed to Serializer side/Debug port)

Please follow the AC coupling scheme used in this diagram:

Do we need Pull up in AUXP and pull down in AUXN Pins

    Yes, this is neccesary.
