SN65LBC170: WIring and using DIR pin

Part Number: SN65LBC170

Hi,

I would like to understand how to wire and use the DIR pin on SN65LBC170 (Triple Differential transceiver).

Do you have a schematic for me to refer to?

  • The DIR pins expect standard logic signals; high for driving, low for receiving. You can connect them directly to VCC or GND, or to a GPIO of your microcontroller.

  • Hi John,

Clemen's is correct. You can refer to the functional table on page 2 of the datasheet to see the logic. The only other comment I have is to make sure you follow the recommended operating conditions for the device (don't apply a voltage larger than Vcc on the direction pin when you want to set to high).

We don't have a reference schematic for this device but if you have a schematic, we can review it for you through e2e.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.
