We would like to replace competitor's RS-232 and customer is asking how to test our performance.

So my question is do we have tool to evaluate MAX3222E performance?

The MAX3222E is designed to be able to replace the MAX3222E.

The electrical characteristics are already tested by TI. If you really want to do this yourself, see section 7 of the datasheet.

How to get signal generator? Do you have equipment suggestion?

Hi Paul,

Its an RS-232 device it doesn't require a special signal generator. Does customer not have a signal generator at all? If they don't they can't test most things.
