Hi,

Greetings.

Is the "VCORE" pin of the IC (SN65DSI83-Q1) is power input to the IC 'or' is it a dummy 1.1VDC power output from the IC.

Datasheet is not clear on whether it is power supply input to the IC or output from IC.

Hey Durgesh,

This is needed for the internal circuitry. This is why the 1uF capacitor to ground is required on this pin as well.

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

Does that imply that we need to feed in this VCORE (1.1VDC) power supply to this IC separately, in addition to 1.8VDC power supply.

'Or', does this 1.1VDC power supply is internally generated within the IC and we need to only have 1 uF external capacitor to ground, for this IC pin (VCORE, Pin 31).

Yes this VCORE supply is internally generated. The bypass capacitor on pin 31 is just for noise reduction purposes.
