Hi Team,

Customer is using USB hub and 3 USB connectors on board, so is there any protection in HUB or any technique which can be implemented on board to prevents USB mass storage device connection and detection in system through these onboard USB connectors.

You could gate the VBUS to these 3 USB connectors. The mass storage devices should not enable its 1.5k pullup resistor on DP signal line if they do not see the presence of the VBUS.

If 1.5K is not enable then in this case Mouse/Keyboard will be detected and functional? The point is keyboard and mouse need to detect and functional through this TUSB2046B and need to prevent the USB Mass storage device (USB memory stick) detection/functional. Need to implement Method on board. Need a method such way that it'll be OS independent (- Mass storage can be disabled through OS, but apart from this method USB Mass storage need to be prevented from detection/functional on board)

Is it possible that you could add a USB2 MUX such as TMUXHS221 to gate off the USB mass storage device?
