The Intel schematic uses level shifter + retiming IC. Please help to confirm whether there is a pure HDMI level shifter IC to recommend? ?

Or please help to confirm that if the redriver function is not needed, does it not require a level shifter (alder lake P) and can it be directly pulled to the connector? Thanks

Hey Gareth,

You will need to level shift the I2C signals and the HPD signal. I am not familiar with the pin spec for the Alder lake. However, HDMI 2.1 signaling has a max Vswing of 1200mV and a DC common mode of 2.5V to 3.33V. That should help determine the interoperability between Alder lake and HDMI.

You can use a mosfet to level shift the HPD signal.

For I2C you will need to use something like the TCA9509: https://www.ti.com/product/TCA9509

This block diagram looks ok, you shouldn't need any other level shifters.
