Hello Team,
About pins ILIM_LO and ILIM_HI ,
if I float the ILIM_HI and set the resistor of ILIM_LO 6.8K, then I_OS(typ)=630mA,
which means if the out current exceed 630mA or lower than 630mA,then assert the over current protection?

Hi Alling,
The ILIMO LO and ILIMI_HI settings are controlled by the ILIM_SEL pin. This will allow the system to select between 2 different ILIM settings.
You cannot float the ILIM_HI pin.
To achieve what you are showing, you can tie ILIM_SEL to and ground ILIM_HI pin and attach a 6.98K resistor to the ILIM_LO pin. This will set the current max to 640mA for all cases. The ILIM_HI path will never be selected because the current limit is set to always select the ILIM_LO path

Chuck
Hello Chuck,
Thank you for your support!
Sorry I still confused that
You cannot float the ILIM_HI pin.
If I tie ILIM_SEL to the ground, then I select the ILIM_LO to limit the max current to 640mA, So I think it's OK to float the ILIM_HI pin, correct?
And by the way, if I set the ILIM_SEL=high, then I select the ILIM_HI pin, so what's the difference of the ILIM_HI pin and ILIM_HI? Both can used to set the maximum current ,correct?
Ailing,
The datasheet shows that floating ILIM_HI is not a valid state for the device. In order to guarantee that the datasheet parameters are met, I suggest that you ground the pin because it is a valid configuration of the datasheet.
I do not think that floating it would cause a failure, but the datasheet parameters for the device are not guaranteed.

Chuck
Got it! thank you very much.
I will set ILIM_SEL to the ground, and ground the ILIM_HI pin.
And by the way, if I set the ILIM_SEL=high, then I select the ILIM_HI pin, so what's the difference of the ILIM_HI pin and ILIM_HI? Both can used to set the maximum current ,correct?
How about this?
Ailing,
Either setting will work as long as the pins are connected within the datasheet, so you idea to use ILIM_SEL=high will work

Chuck
