TLK10232: PCIe to 1000BASE-KX

I need to implement a bridge between PCIe and 1000BASE-KX. Does TI support this with a PHY or similar? If not is there an alternate solution like PCIe to XAUI etc. and a secondary device to go to 1000BASE-KX.

TLK10232 is only listed on there to get the question to be accepted. If we use a 2 part solution may be the secondary device. Looking for help with part selection and do not have a part selected yet.

I would prefer Gen 3 but Gen 2 would likely have enough BW for the 1000BASE interface.

Hi Keith,

Unfortunately we do not have any devices which can be used to bridge between PCIe and 100BASE-KX. Typically an FPGA is used to bridge between these protocols.

I found a PCIe to RGMII device. Does TI have RGMII to KX?

Hi Keith,

DP83869PHY theoretically could support RGMII to 1000Base-KX. However, I want to reiterate that this is not a typical use case and performance between DP83869 over the 1000Base-KX interface has not been characterized. Performance will not be guaranteed by the datasheet, though this configuration should work given voltage output swing specs are met on both sides. Please perform your own evaluation.
