TUSB211A: D1 D2

Part Number: TUSB211A

Hi team,

I am very new in USB device, in the TUSB211A datasheet, I noticed that host connects to D1 in figure 8-1, but connects to D2 in spec part, so I want to know the two interface is the same?

Also, could you help to review the SCH from customer side?

  • Another question, Could D1P connect to D2P? and if yes, is there anything special we should pay more attention to?

  • Hi Jingguo,

The TUSB211A and our other USB2 redrivers can be placed directly over the DP/DM traces of the USB2 signal, as these redrivers passively boost the HS signals that pass beneath them. Thus, the D1/D2 pins can be connected to each other, similar to the layout below:

Additionally, the D1 pins do not need to be facing the host. Our USB2 redrivers bidirectionally boost the HS signals that come through, meaning there is no specific pins for receiving or transmitting.

Another question, Could D1P connect to D2P? and if yes, is there anything special we should pay more attention to?

D1P and D2P just need to be connected via the USB2 trace, same with D1M and D2M.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
