TCAN2451-Q1: about TCAN2450 ID_Select

Part Number: TCAN2451-Q1

We are testing the TCAN 2450 Chipset

However, ID1_STAT and ID2_STAT are not working as we expected.

I am checking the log output through SPI.(for test)

11b- Flatting confirmation ok

10b-connected to VSUP NOK

01b-connected to GND NOK

In other words, 11b flatting has confirmed that 11b is output.

For PU and PD, 10b and 01b are not output.

Is it possible to check what the problem is?

  • Hi Wonjin,

I've assigned this thread to one of our CAN experts. You should receive some feedback by beginning of next week.

  • Hello Wonjin,

Thanks for reaching out! Could you help us understand what the hardware setup is for the ID pins when you're testing the 01b and 10b configurations? Do you have an external pull-up/pull-down resistor, or is the WAKE/ID pin connected directly to GND/VSUP?

Have you configured the WAKE_ID_CONFIG1 and WAKE_ID_CONFIG2 registers to properly set IDx_EN?

    Best,

    Danny

  • So far, we have printed the code that is output according to ID Select through testing.

I have a question. Is there a formula for RID setup?

Is there internal resistance in the ports of ID1, ID2, ID3, and ID4?

    I need a calculation formula.
