do we have MAX3243 reference design SCH for DSUB9?

Hi Brian,

I don't believe we have a reference schematic for that but we have an FAQ that includes a 3T5R RS232 device connected to a RJ9 (Dsub9) connector.

Figure 8 in this document would be how you could make a connection like that.

Net names matches expected pinouts	Good
Local decoupling caps	?	I see some additional 0.1uF caps by J1, please make sure they are placed close to Vcc of MAX3243A
Input pins aren't floating	Good	Customer setup has auto-powerdown enabled (No issue, just stating this)
Charge caps match datasheet suggested values	Good
SUB9 net names match expected pins	Good	I checked this based on the document I referred you to in my earlier post
