TCA9548A: How many address in one channel

Part Number: TCA9548A

Hi Team,

The maximum address number in each channel is define by the protocol correct? And may I know what's the maximum address number been used in one channel you had seen?

My customer would like to use TCA9548A connect to TMP1075A through I2C, I think the maximum address number will follow I2C protocol =112, would like to double check if it's correct?

Best Regards,

Roy

  • The TCA9548A works on the electrical level and does not care about the addresses of devices other than itself.

An I²C bus' total capacitance (i.e., the capacitance of all bus segments enabled at the same time) must be limited to 400 pF, or even less if you want to reach higher speeds without huge pull-up currents.
