SN65DSI84-Q1: How to intentionally generate an IRQ

Hi,

As part of hardware evaluation, I would like to evaluate the waveform of the IRQ pin of SN65DSI84TPAPRQ1.

Looking at the causes of IRQ, I think it is difficult to cause it intentionally, but please let me know if there is a way to generate IRQ by setting internal registers etc.

The IRQ is only generated when there is an error seen by the SN65DSi84-Q1.

This is how to mask/ use the error as triggers, and what each error means.

The best way to do this is to send an incorrect DSI clock frequency so the signal chain breaks and generates an IRQ event.

Hi Vishesh,

Am I correct in understanding that an IRQ is generated even if the clock input is stopped?
After PLL Lock, clock input is stopped and PLL Unlocked.

Yes the IRQ and I2C communication will work as long as the device is powered, the status of the PLL has no bearing on this.
