HDMI Protection

Highlights:

  • High speed media, data transfer interface with 6 control lines & 8 data lines
  • Operating voltage:
    • For each data and control line, 3.3V and 5V respectively
    • This requires a protection diode with breakdown voltage of at least 3.6V, 5.5V respectively
  • Operating frequency:
    • HDMI 2.1 – 20Gbps
    • HDMI 2.0 – 6Gbps,
    • HDMI 1.4/1.3 -3.4Gbps
  • These high speed transfer requires lower capacitance of < 1pF
