TCAN1043A-Q1: TCAN1043ADRQ1 VSUP Undervoltage

Part Number: TCAN1043A-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCAN1043

Hi Team,

I'm currently considering replacing TJA1043T product with TCAN1043ADRQ1.

One difference in specifications is regarding the state under VSUP undervoltage conditions.

For the TJA1043T, it maintains Standby Mode with INH High, whereas the TCAN1043ADRQ1 enters Protected Mode (Power-off) resulting in INH going Low.

Therefore, I'm considering whether there is a situation where ECU is turned off or reset by instant undershoot of the vehicle battery (Cranking, instantaneous disconnection)

I would like to ask if there is a filter time when entering the protected mode (Power-off mode)

Thanks

  • Ian, Seungbo,

Thanks for your reminder. Sorry I took the wrong screenshot, 250us is for TCAN1043, not TCAN1043A. You are correct, tPOWER_UP of TCAN1043A is 310us.

Danny's answer was also correct. We don't define that time, as Danny said, it would depend on "when the input supply falls below UVSUP(F)". This is simply equals to when you cut off the voltage supply, how long it takes to fall below UVSUP(F)? This is a question for customer's voltage supply, not our transceiver.
