Hi,

The customer is currently evaluating with EVM, but in order to connect this IC to the engine control ECU, FMEA documents are required.
Can TI provide this material?

Please have them download & unzip the file attached to this thread.

Have them run the updater per the instructions included in the download.

Hi John-san,

Thank you for answering.
The EVM FW is already the latest, so it is working properly.

Information on FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) is required to install this IC on your engine ECU board.
Since this IC is for automotive use, I assume that TI has this material.
Do I need an NDA to obtain this FMEA information?
Also, should I contact TI Japan?

We can't post the report on this public forum because of confidentiality requirements.
Please request the TPIC8101 failure mode analysis report through our PPAP web site.
The PPAP request will take care of the confidentiality agreements.
