The TUSB926X flash burner/re-programmer is correctly installed. It recognizes my TUSB9261 Bootloader device. Win XP also shows the device is working in the device maganer. The SPI flash is ready.

Downloading the firmware TUSB926x Firmware, when I try to program the device it fails. Since the SPI is blank, the flash utility burner never recognize my SATA device attached, which is a 3Gb/s SATA SSD.

How can I solve the problem to have the firmware successfully programmed into the device?

Are you using the TUSB9261 Evaluation Module? or is it that you have your own design?

Yes. I am using the TUSB9261 EVM and the default firmware. I successfully installed the flash burner utility and have difficulty programming the device either with or without SATA device.

After the TUSB9261 is recognized as "Boot loader..." you need to populate a jumper on the "SPI ENABLE" (J13) in order to be able to download a firmware to the external memory.

You are correct. But the problem is when I populate up SPI jumper, the programming option is available but it just fails. If I don't enable SPI, the flash burner utility never recognize my TUSB9261 device at all.

Never mind. After twice reading the user guider, I got the SPI jumper correctly set and now it is working well. Thank you very much.
