TUSB2E11: application issue

Hi team,

My customer test the device and the hardware set up is below:

PC <---> TUSB2E11 USB port ------ TUSB2E11 eUSB port <---> device

PC can not enumerate the device correctly with the setup of below "A" mode. While it enumerate the device correctly in I2C mode.

Any debug suggestions? What does N/A mean here?

Hi Lijia,

I'm still looking at this. It's a good question. In the case of the Host Repeater being N/A, it means it is not applicable. Charger detection does not occur when the device is a Host.

I'm not so sure on the Peripheral repeater, and I'm following-up for more information.

Yes I did get an update. Charger detection is disabled in the peripheral case.

My question is, could you help to check why device(USB device) can not be enumerated in this mode? I guess because in this mode, repeater is disableed(N/A), am I right? WHAt customer see should as expected.

Hi Lijia,

The repeater is not disabled in this mode; it is actually not disabled in any mode in the table. The table is discussing the BC 1.2 detection and advertising settings for the device. This is used when the host needs to provide more than the standard 500mA of current on VBUS. Charger detection is disabled in the modes you highlighted, but the eUSB/USB data is always available.

If the customer requires BC 1.2 (Battery Charging) functions of the repeater, then refer to this table. If not, then it can be ignored.
