It is recommended to use a separate clock source for each deserializer. In order for the device to operate as expected, specific requirements must be met such as frequency, jitter, rise time, tolerance, capacitance, etc. Using a single crystal on multiple devices will impact these requirements and potentially result in a degraded signal.
