TPD2S017: The data signal lines are transmitted through VCC(VUSB).

Part Number: TPD2S017

Hi Team

This is my first question. Please help me.

I use the chip TPD2S017 for protection USB.

When initializing the USB on the MCU, even without plugging in the USB, the data signal changes to high, and 3.5 volts is measured on VUSB.

The issue is that I'm currently measuring 3.5 volts.

The reason is that I am also using the VUSB line for other purposes.

So, how can I make VUSB go low when the USB is not connected?

Thanks.

  • Hi Daeho, welcome to E2E!

Would it be possible for you to share a schematic with me (or at least a screenshot of this location on the PCB)? I believe this would be the most efficient way for us to find a solution here.

In the meantime, I will investigate this VBUS voltage to try and understand why this is occurring.

    Best Regards,
