Part Number: DS90UB928Q-Q1

May I ask, what is the purpose of MODE-SEL configuration for DS90UB928 chip,REPEAT、BKWD、I2S_B、LCBL Level is different, what is the role?

In addition, is the output of DS90UB928 LVDS?

  • Hi Bao,

In addition, is the output of DS90UB928 LVDS?

Yes, the output of the DS90UB928 is LVDS.

May I ask, what is the purpose of MODE-SEL configuration for DS90UB928 chip,REPEAT、BKWD、I2S_B、LCBL Level is different, what is the role?

MODE_SEL allows the user to configure different functional modes for the device without having to write to internal registers.

    • REPEAT - If set high, allows the 928 to enter repeater mode. See datasheet section 8.4.5 for more details
    • BKWD - Backward Compatible Mode. Allows the 928 to be compatible with UR905 and UR907 FPD-Link II serializers
    • I2S_B - When paired with a UB925 or UB928, enabling I2S_B allows for four channel audio. Video color will be reduced to 18-bits
    • LCBL - Long Cable. Adjusts the equalizer to optimize for longer cables.

    Best,

    Jack
