DS90UH949-Q1: HDCP enable for UH949, UH927 with UH948 Ser/Deserializer

Part Number: DS90UH949-Q1

Our original board is using DS90UB949 and DS90UB948(SerDes non-HDCP). We want to use DS90UH949 and DS90UH948(SerDes HDCP) for HDCP so there are a few questions want to confirm

  1. If we only replace DS90UB949 or DS90UB948 and disable HDCP, Can we still transmit and receive data normally?

For example:

Keep DS90UB949 and replace DS90UH948 non HDCP, Or keep DS90UB948 non-HDCP and replace DS90UH949 HDCP

  1. When replacing SerDes non-HDCP from non-HDCP to HDCP, the HMDI module of the SoC retains the same code as SerDes non-HDCP.

We do not need to handle the logic associated with the HDCP transmitter to initiate the authentication process.

Instead, we need to enable HDCP in SerDes HDCP and monitor that process through registers.

If you have instructions on the HDCP configuration process, let us refer to it.

  1. Will the HDCP key be embedded into SerDes HDCP? What does our company need to do to embed it in SerDes HDCP?
