TL16C754B: TL16C754BPN PCN

Customer have received the message from our factory stating that TL16C754BPN is going to be obsolete by may 2024 and LTB is 16th Jun 2024. Please refer the attached PDN document for reference. Now our query is that, When we searched the part in TI website we couldn’t able find any PDN notice and part status is showing as “ACTIVE”. Can you please conform whether the TL16C754BPN is going to obsolete as per the PDN or not? Based on your conformation we will go ahead for LTB purchase. Please provide the details at the earliest.

  • Hi Saurabh,

    I'm double checking with my product marketing engineer. We did do some changes to some devices that we originally sent PCN's out for EOL. If this device was changed from EOL back to active, we should send another PCN out to revoke the previous one.

    I'll try to get back to you on Monday on whether this device was on the list.

    My Product marketing engineer has confirm the device is back to active status.

    This device is still in an older process technology though and TI's stance is to try to either moves devices to new process technologies or phase them out. It would be better if you could move to a new device since there will be no guarantee that this device will remain active forever....
