DS100BR210: Input Eye Requirements

Part Number: DS100BR210

Hello,

I am trying to run a signal integrity check in hyperlynx that uses the DS100BR210. I have setup the model correctly however from your datasheet I am having trouble understand eye width and height requirements at the inputs to the DS100BR210. I know that may somewhat depend on how the equalizer is configured but I would like to understand the methodology to determine the PASS/FAIL for the SI.

Thanks,

John

  • Hi John,

From the perspective of the DS100BR210, there is no definition of "passing" or "failing" eye openings. The redriver simply applies manually selectable EQ boost, de-emphasis, and VOD settings to the incoming signal. Pass/fail eye opening requirements are typically defined by specifications or standards related to your particular application or use case.

    Best,
