Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM26LV31E
Tool/software:
Hello,
I'm looking for a (lvcmos to) LVDS buffer that can also operate as a RS422 buffer with certain configuration change.
Two different devices that are pin to pin replaceable (one device LVDS, another RS422) is also a solution.
I need this solution for a Transmitter and for a Receiver.
I know that replaceable parts do exist because I used them a few years ago, but they are old and and i remember a big package.. (preferred is QFN/BGA etc..)
I asked CHAT GPT this question and got the following suggestion.. do you have any other? Thanks!!
Certainly! If you're looking for a transmitter instead of a receiver, you can consider the Texas Instruments SN65LVDS31. This is an example of a LVDS transmitter that can be configured for RS422 operation.
Here are some key features of the SN65LVDS31:
- Voltage compatibility: Supports LVCMOS input levels and LVDS outputs. It can also be configured for RS422 outputs.
- Data rates: Capable of supporting high-speed data rates.
- Differential signaling: Provides differential signaling for noise immunity and signal integrity.
- Configurability: Can be configured for RS422 operation, making it suitable for your requirements.
- Wide supply voltage range: Supports a wide range of supply voltages.
