TCA8418: Disable pull-up resistor

Hi team,

I understand that the pull-up resistor can be disabled by a register.
However, when used in key-badged mode, there is a statement in the datasheet "8.4.2.1" that the columns are disabled but the rows are not.
Is it possible to disable both pull-up registers?

Hi Ryu,

Section 8.4.2.1 states that the columns are set to "LOW" and the rows are left pulled HIGH by a pull-up resistor to VCC.

What do you mean by disabling both pull-up registers? I am not sure I am understanding your question fully?

Hi Tyler,

My question is can all internal pull-up resistors be disabled when using in keypad mode?
I am thinking that only rows can be disabled.

Hi Ryu,

Pull-up resistors for the rows and col pins can be enabled/disabled through the GPIO_PULLx registers found on page 34 of the datasheet.
