    Hello Marsh,

    Setting bit[4] to 1 of register 0x055B will not correct the slave TX polarity to match the received polarity. There is no disable for the detection portion , however the correction can be disabled. As in the DP83TG720R-Q1 as MDI receiver is able to detect polarity reversal and automatically correct for the error. Bit[4] corresponds to the correction part of this feature.
