Dear TI team,

Please help with TDP142EVM setting.

As per User Guide page 4 = Figure 3. TDP142EVM Between Notebook and DP Monitor

I connected my desktop DP to J9 and J10 to monitor. I tried with and without external 3.3V/5V.

The I2C is disable = GPIO mode. All lumpers are in default position.

Can't get anything on the monitor, please advise.

Hi,

1. Can you move jumper J12 to DPPWR and 3P3V?

2. Power the EVM through J13 USB connector?

Does the monitor show up as a second monitor in the Notebook?

YES! it works now. However, I have to connect/disconnect and connect again J10 monitor.

Hi David, one of the project goals is to connect miniPC to monitor via long DP cable.

Should I use two TDP142IRNQT on each end? or one should work?

Hi,

It depends on the total system insertion loss. I would try to connect one TDP142 EVM at the end of the long DP cable, and a short cable between the EVM and the monitor, tune the DP142 EQ and see if it works.
